Johnny Villarreal

Johnny Villarreal is a visual artist, animator, and educator. His multimedia background has enabled him to connect people of various interests and abilities to pixels and pigments. He has taught classes in painting, drawing, screen printing, sculpture, digital art, animation, and video production to students in K-12, young adults, and families. Over the last ten years he has led workshops and classes in public and private schools, museums, community centers, and festivals in and around Texas. He has been included on the Texas Touring Artist Roster since 2014 and has collaborated on multiple award winning stop motion animated productions.

  • Graduated with a BFA in Studio Art/Painting from TX State 2008
  • Graduated with an AAS in Graphic Design/Sequential from SAC 2004
  • Has been facilitating workshops with The Edge of Imagination Station since 2008
